-Veterinarians thanked for saving dog's life! -

I would like to give special recognition to veterinarian Dr. Carol Lewis and her staff at Healing Hands Animal Hospital in Salisbury.

My young standard poodle was suffering from a variety of distressing symptoms; thanks to the urgency felt by Lewis' associate, Dr. Jaclyn Wolinksi, to acquire immediate testing (which resulted in a trip to Kent Island), they were able to determine that two masses and his spleen had to be removed.

After Lewis completed the emergency surgery, my dog continued to decline and was near death.

Further investigation by Lewis revealed that my dog had Addison's Disease, an ailment that will require lifelong injections. He was immediately given medication which resulted in the revival of the spunky pup I have missed so much.

Furthermore, the follow-up from Lewis was none other than exemplary. She has called me several times since his surgery -- even from out of town while she was on vacation -- just to check up on my dog.

Their determination to find the cause of my dog's problems and the follow-up to keep him healthy has been phenomenal.

Thanks for saving my dog's life.

Beau and I want to thank you for the compassion shown to little Mattie by all of your staff. Dr's Lewis and Wolinski treated her as if she were their own. All of the girls embraced this sweet little girl and we are very grateful!! She was a very special little dog.

Dear Dr. Wolinski,

Just a note of thanks for all of your care to our zoo! We are especially grateful for your referral to Dr. Chad Hutchinson in Easton. He gave his best care to Rosie our Bearded Dragon.

Dr. Chad has a reptile room in his home with 5 Bearded Dragons himself. Rosie was egg bound with two eggs and even with the surgery was to weak to pull through. Dr. Chad even took her home with him and checked on her through the night. She passed with Dr. Chad at her side.

Even though she did not make it we feel that we gave her the best we could for her. Thanks again for the referral and for caring! - Linda, Philip, Cody, Connor, Elaine, and Wyatt Sellers

Dear Carol,

Once in awhile, if we're lucky, someone who is doing exactly what god intended them to do on this earth touches our lives. You are that person for me. Your knowledge and skill and wisdom in treating our pets lets me know beyond a doubt that we are doing everything in our power for them. And when there's nothing more to do for them, your compassion and caring, gentle touch and love makes the hardest part of loving them a little easier. Thank you for always being there, for your kindness and for you heart. It means more to me than I could ever express.

How can we begin to thank you for the care you gave to Soprano during his recent stay with you? You both and your staff are truly angels sent to use from above. We want to especially thank Amy for her kindness to us and Soprano during this most stressful time. Our community is surely blessed to have such caring qualified people at Healing Hands to take care of our precious pets. Thank you all for being so wonderful to us and Soprano.
